"I recently took a trip four hours south of Lima to the desert in Ica. We stayed in the 'oasis' of Huacachina and the experience was unforgettable. A short dune buggy ride and we were surrounded by sand dunes. It seemed there was nothing around us for miles. Just the beautiful wind-sculpted dunes. The view from the top down to the oasis was breathtaking. The next morning I decided to hike up for a view from the other side of the lagoon. It was worth the near heart attack. At the top it was just me and the desert.
On this trip I discovered the lovely, warm tones of the Ray Mark II lens, which lent itself perfectly to the desert. The Rasputin film gave it a nice little boost in saturation. So, if you ever find yourself in the desert, give it a shot!"
