"I use Hipstamatic alongside other film and digital cameras. I like the spontaneity it offers without stopping to think about what lens or film or effect to use. Often I will use the standard default combo of the John S Lens and Ina's 1969 film with the flash off. I do this both because it imposes limitations like an old snapshot camera does and also because I like the way it behaves in different lighting conditions. I use Hipstamatic to capture fragmentary moments and sometimes abstract glimpses of the places and things round me. I never edit or enhance my Hipstamatic shots before upload."
