"Ballerinas"

"This picture was taken as I was walking around at the Rockefeller Center, trying to shoot the new Jeff Koons installation, "Seated Ballerina". As I was wandering around and trying different angles, it occurred to me that it would be wonderful if a real ballerina was here so I could shoot her legs, against the installation. It must have been the right day and time to be there, because as I was leaving, I turned around and there she was, dancing away! I just went to her and asked her if I could take a close up and she agreed."
