"My professional, as well as my personal life, allow me a lot of travel. I discovered Instagram and Hipstamatic while I was living in Brussels. I was immediately impressed by the monochromes. I just love black and white photography. I never go anywhere without my smartphone and as soon as the light catches my attention, I try to capture the moment.
The John S and Claunch 72 Monochrome is one of my favorite combos, especially since the introduction of Oggl. I can recenter and emphasize the light on the subject, if I didn't notice it while actually taking the picture. It often produces really nice and surprising results. Photography seems to be a natural vehicle for me to express my creativity and, these days, I get a lot more satisfaction from using my smartphone rather than my camera. I particularly like this combo because of its intensity and energy."
