The Philadelphia HipstaPak

By on July 1, 2016

On July 4th, Americans will be celebrating Independence Day, which marks the country’s declaration of independence from the United Kingdom, signed on July 4th 1776. With the holiday just round the corner, Hipstamatic takes us to Philadelphia.

I have not yet received any information about the Philadelphia HipstaPak, so I will complete this article later during the weekend. All I can say for certain, at this point, is that the Philadelphia HipstaPak contains a lens, Franklin and a film, Liberty.

Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17th, 1706 in Boston and died on April 17th, 1790 in Philadelphia. He was a printer, writer, inventor and politician. He contributed to the drawing up of the declaration of independence, and was also one of cosigners, which makes him one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. One of the Hipstamatic lenses now also bears his name.

The Liberty Bell is a - if not "the" -  symbol of American independence and resides in Philadelphia. Legend has it that the bell was struck by a young boy seconds after the declaration was signed, on July 4th 1776. Later, in 1830, the bell was adopted as a symbol by the abolitionists, who gave it its current name. The new Hipstamatic film serves as yet another homage.

I’ll complete this article as soon as I have had the opportunity to test the new elements and, like every month, please don’t hesitate to send us your pictures and thoughts.
