\"Personally, I'm interested in the relationship between writing and photography and I use street photography as a means of harnessing ideas for writing. As such, I prefer to focus on subjects in movement, particularly moving away from me in some manner. I seek for grainy, blurred development less for aesthetic purposes and more because doing so provides me with the abstraction of a subject, and thus the inception of an idea for writing (Where are you going? Where have you been? Do you believe in god? In suicide? When you arrive at your destination, will you be received with a parcel, a bomb, or a kiss on the lips?). <\/em><\/p>\n

It is important that the subjects and\/or composition are abstracted by the light \/ shadows, even the film itself, because the abstraction allows for me to more fully create a character. The more I know or see, the less interesting the composition is to me and the less fruitful the creative pursuit is, and it is this pursuit that I truly enjoy witnessing between camera and pen. \"<\/em>
