\"I have used Hipstamatic<\/strong> now for over two years and use it so regularly, I often forget that it is an app! I love the diversity of Hipstamatic<\/strong>. As we live very close to a city and also right next to a six hundred and fifty acre park, I appreciate being able to change the filters, lenses and flashes depending on the light available, the feeling tone of the location and also, the feeling tone that is wanting to be created.
\nIn the Pacific Northwest, this autumn, we have had unusually sunny weather (often with fog in the morning), which has provided some unique opportunities for photos. It is normally overcast and rainy, with the sun setting in the late afternoon, making it very challenging to take photos in such limited light. However, I have loved how the sunny days in the city have brought out the street performers and created such dramatic shadows.
\nI enjoy using Tinto<\/strong> lens to focus in on the subjects, Blackeys SuperGrain<\/strong> film for it's distinctive contrast, and Uchitel<\/strong> film for it's vintage quality. The foggy mornings have been extraordinary in the park - so many of the usual distractions (the nearby city's urban rumble, the distant landscape behind the foreground trees) have been masked by the fog giving the park quite a magical, dream-like feel. I like to use Robusta film for the texture and warm painterly and vintage feel it gives to the images, and in particular, to the whiteness of the fog.\"<\/em>
