Most of the crowd consisted of the leftwing political supporters but we know that there were more than 800 different groups (different backgrounds, ideologies and religions) as well. The movement to protect Gezi Park is one of the most popular and high profile protests in the world. There are still huge number of people in Gezi Park trying to resist and protect their democratic rights.
\nUnfortunately last night (June 11th, 2013) all the protesters in Taksim square and Gezi Park faced the toughest of police interventions. My photographs show the battle of the Turkish people in the face of a violent state reaction.\"

I enjoy photographing my city, and take part in Instameets, promoted by InstagramersRio. I end up getting to know my city more and learning to photograph it very well. I also like taking photographs of my friends. Despite the fact Rio de Janeiro is a tropical place and very hot, 43\u00ba in summer, I love shooting with the Combo Wonder<\/strong> + Blanko Freedom13<\/strong> because it leaves a melancholy air, the colors or absence of them, always reminds me of autumn weather.\"

As people walk past, they often don't even look or notice them. This woman was walking past briskly, and in doing so she becomes an integral part of the picture. The out-of-focus quality of Tinto 1884<\/strong> and the black and white of AO BW<\/strong> further accentuate this impression.\"<\/em>

But the springboard always makes me very happy. My kids and their friends always jump in different ways, making faces and all that, pretending they are zombies, or soldiers, or bombs. I always try to take the shots looking up, so no buildings or anything else appears in frame. It's difficult, especially with the palm trees, but sometimes palm trees and the springboard are nice details.\"<\/em>

As we drove around, we saw lots of fire hydrants open and children playing, I couldn't resist and I decided to get in the water and snap away. Because it was not my neighborhood i was trying to be discreet and careful not to get caught.\"<\/em>

He was listening to the music loudly so that everyone in the street could hear it. It was a Turkish folk song, a very deep and melancholic composition. Perhaps he was in a depressive mood but didn't hesitate to give me a smile.\"<\/em>
