\"Awards-2015-Nominees-Banner-ok\"<\/a><\/h4>\n

One of the key moments of the Hipstography Awards has arrived: the list of nominees. This list has been drawn up on the basis of the votes cast by the members of the jury and I would once more like to thank them with all my heart for having devoted some of their time to these Awards. It is now up to you to give your opinion; your votes will be added to those of the jury to select the overall winners of the 2015 edition.<\/h4>\n

These Awards have been divided into two main categories: the \"Grand Prizes Awards<\/strong>\" for the Combos and Portfolios, and the \"Major Prizes Awards<\/strong>\" for the Photos of the Day. In brief, this is how the nominees have been selected: we have gone through the hundreds of series and photos published on the site in 2015 or received during the submissions in the thirty or so categories; for each category, we asked each jury member to give us their top 3. Three points were awarded for their favourite series or photo, 2 points for their second choice and, lastly, 1 point for their third favourite. All the points were then added up and we whittled it down to just 5 or 6 series for the 11 Grand Prizes Awards<\/strong> categories and ten or so photos for the 18 Major Prizes Awards<\/strong> categories.<\/p>\n

In some categories, a few photo series really stood out and some were universal or near universal favourites; one series even got 95% of the jury's votes. For other series, even if there were favourites, the results were less decisive. We are therefore counting on you to cast your votes and identify the winners.<\/p>\n

Over the next days, the nominees in each category will be announced on this page, as and when the results come out, and the voting can then start. You can bookmark this page, which will be updated on a daily basis; this same page is also accessible via the banner at the top of each page on the site.\u00a0One small clarification: the order of nominees is not linked to the jury's votes. The combos are classified in order of publication and the portfolios and the photos will at times be published at random.<\/p>\n

You have three days to vote for each category and your votes will be added to the jury's. One last category, \"The Gear of the Year<\/strong>\", is intended to give Awards for the different gear (lenses, films and flashes) from the Hipstamatic<\/strong> catalogue that came out in 2015. The winners will receive their prizes at an official prize-giving ceremony on Sunday 7 February.<\/p>\n
