Around 7 pm, I pushed the \"Publish this site\" button. After a few months of preparation, Hipstography is sent out into the world along with an email to Hipstamatic to announce the Hipstography adventure.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I don\u2019t think anyone, including myself, ever thought that the site would turn out the way it has. From 120 Mb of data, the site has become a monster of over 10Gb of data, tens of thousands of published photographs and some 1000 pages viewed on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/5-Years-Hipstography-Collage.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-67551\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-gRkYaIPS\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67551\" src=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/5-Years-Hipstography-Collage.jpg\" alt=\"5-Years-Hipstography-Collage\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thank you everyone for your support, help and trust. Without you <em><strong>Hipstography<\/strong><\/em> just wouldn\u2019t exist: it\u2019s the largest database in the world dedicated to the best photo application: <strong>Hipstamatic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our fifth year has, once again, been overwhelmingly rich in diversity, exciting and - as if it still needs stating - a real testimony to <strong>Hipstamatic<\/strong> and the creativity of its community. All the pictures that were published within the past 12 months will soon be sent to the jury members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/category\/hipstography-awards-2017-en-2\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Hipstography Awards<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>, whose decisions will be announced, around January 20th.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Banner-Awards-2017-Open-Call.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-67911\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-gRkYaIPS\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67911\" src=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Banner-Awards-2017-Open-Call.jpg\" alt=\"Banner-Awards-2017-Open-Call\" width=\"1400\" height=\"525\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And now, at the end of this year, as has become tradition, we look back at the past 12 months. From the <a href=\"https:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/category\/combos-2\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>80 combos<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that were published in 2017, we came up with about <a href=\"https:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/category\/downloadable-combos\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>30 downloadable combos<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and a new Hipstography Collection of 3 combos: <a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/combos-2\/the-cosmetic-collection-2.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The Cosmetic Collection<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Cosmetic-Collection-Packaging.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-62772\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-gRkYaIPS\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62772\" src=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Cosmetic-Collection-Packaging.jpg\" alt=\"Cosmetic-Collection-Packaging\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2017 also saw an exhibition dedicated to one of the most extravagant lenses in the catalogue: <strong>Madalena<\/strong>. So\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/category\/who-is-afraid-of-madalena-en\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Who\u2019s still afraid of Madalena?<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Banner-Madalena.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-63587\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-gRkYaIPS\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63587\" src=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Banner-Madalena.jpg\" alt=\"Banner-Madalena\" width=\"1800\" height=\"675\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aside from <a href=\"https:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/category\/portfolio-en\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>40 portfolios<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, this year also saw an opportunity to pay tribute to one of our most prolific Hipstographers, <strong>Polina Sarri<\/strong>, with her showcase \"<a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/showcase-en-2\/showcase-strange-case-of-dr-polina-and-mrs-sarri.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The Strange Case of Dr Polina and Mrs Sarri<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\".<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Polina-Showcase-poster.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65406\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-gRkYaIPS\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65406\" src=\"http:\/\/hipstography.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Polina-Showcase-poster.jpg\" alt=\"Polina-Showcase-poster\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I\u2019d also like to thank <strong>Lori Hillsberg<\/strong> and <strong>Stephen Litrell<\/strong> for suggesting the \"<a href=\"https:\/\/hipstography.com\/en\/category\/the-temple-of-doomed-gear-en-3\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Temple of Doomed Gear<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\". \u00a0I was a bit scared to participate but it was a truly enriching experience.
