and social crisis. Returning there this past January, I witness a country that is more prosperous despite suffering the effects of the USA embargo. There is a middle class in formation and there are countless B&amp;B\u2019s that welcome tourists, as well as many quality restaurants and bars.<br \/>\nHavana is being restored and there are many buildings that, once recovered, show their splendor. People and their affability, however, have not changed: despite the difficulties, there is a joy and availability for others that is not found in other parts of the world. People often invite you to have coffee in their homes without expecting anything in return, other than conversation. Havana must be one of those cities where street photography is very rewarding because if you are sensitive enough, people will gladly give you permission to photograph all you want.
