"These photos are a snapshot of my 366 photo project for 2020. In January I continued documenting my year on Instagram with a Hipstamatic photo every day, for the 4th year running. My aim is to create a visual diary so I am always more focused on the photos being a good representation of each day rather than them being my best shots aesthetically. I enjoyed using the app’s Randomize function and experimenting with different lens/film combinations to give some variety.
When I look back over my 2020 shots, I am happy to see how much fun and colour I managed to capture, despite it being a ridiculously challenging year for all of us. The photos remind me of the lighter side of the year, the importance of family & friendship, discovering a love for my garden, finding new places to walk right on my doorstep and generally appreciating the little things."
