"My portfolio here showcases Bangalore (South India) often fondly referred to as the Silicon Valley of India. I have deliberately chosen to not focus on the well-to-do IT folk with their penthouses, nice cars and cafe/fine dining culture, but instead I've trained my camera on everyday India or the everyday Indian. I tried going to places that an ordinary Indian might visit regularly, like the bazaars, temples and side-streets and hopefully some of the photos will pick up the chaotic, frenzied energy that so makes up the major towns and cities of India.
For this portfolio I mostly shot with the Eric lens because I just love the happy, unexpected bursts of color that it produces... It's a little like India, in that, you may never know what color you're going to encounter as you turn a street corner, except, you know it's going to be vibrant and beautiful!"

"Los Angeles gets a bad rap as a place with no history, culture or soul. Wrong! This town is totally chockablock with fabulous freaks, endless inspiration, and awesome surprises around every corner. Head out into the streets of the City of Angels and keep your phone dialed in to Hipstamatic or Oggl. And don't bother putting it your pocket—it won't be there very long."

"As my plane took off, direction India, I decided to use only one combo for this trip. I didn’t know India at all, but my preconceived idea of it was that of a very colorful place. I chose this combo (by taking test shots of my seat!) for the contrast and saturated colors, but without any particular dominant features. When I got back, I found the results to be very true to my recollections, a country full of contrast and color. So, in my preferences settings, I called this combo 'India'."

'The Hip side of Tokyo' by Adria Ellis

Adria-Ellis-Tokyo-portraitName: Adria Ellis
Hometown: Fort Collins, Colorado
Resides: Boulder, Colorado
Profession: Photographer, Instagram Brand Ambassador
Hobbies: Travel, Yoga and of course photography
Hipstographer since: 2011
Year of Birth: 1971

Favorite Combo:  Jack London  +  Blanko
Favorite Lens:  Jack London
Favorite Film:  Blanko
Favorite Flash: I don’t really use the flash.

"I just spent 12 wonderful days in Tokyo: me and my iPhone. I’m not one to commit to a single city, but it just may be that Tokyo is my new favorite. Tokyo has little pieces of all of my favorite cities from around the world, in addition to a style of its own. This Tokyo style is hip, current, fast moving, and original. The beauty of this modern elegance is that it is paired perfectly with old world charm and a beautiful history. The marriage of the two is this photographer’s dream come true. I’m sharing 30 images with you using the Jack London lens and Blanko film. This became my go-to on this trip. Clean, simple, a little boost of contrast and the clarity to let Tokyo come through loud and clear. Hope you enjoy a few of my favorite things, the people, the style, the subways, and the food!"

"Iceland, fondly known as the "Land of Fire and Ice" has the most interesting topography of any place you will ever visit. I have tried hard to come up with a word that would suitably describe the terrain - some have used the adjectives "ethereal", "dramatic", "shockingly beautiful", "bleak", "magical", "stormy" and so on, but prehistoric or alien, describes it best of all. The best part? The physical geography is changing all the time, the landscape today might not be the landscape we see 20 years from now and you have the continued effects of volcanic activity and glacier weathering to thank for that. The entire country is a textbook of geography phenomena and if that subject is even remotely fascinating for you, I would recommend you flight out there as quickly as you can."
