Combo #342 (Brett Evan Gross)
Lens: Eric
Film: Blanko 1
Flash: off
"The Eric/Blanko combo delivers brash splashes of color and bright contrast. One can say the same about the city of Osaka, Japan. The jumble of colors and aesthetic contradictions make it endlessly visually fascinating. I tried to capture the absurdity of the human condition while seeking out the beauty and jubilation as well. I think this combo is perfect for urban and suburban Japan.

Combo #343 (Julia Nathanson)
Lens: Helga Viking
Film: Blanko 1
Using: Oggl
"The crisp blues of Helga combined with the soft pastel touch of Blanko 1 compliment the bright, stark days of early spring beautifully."
Julia Nathanson
Combo #364 (Ankit Girotra)
Lens: John S
Film: Blackeys Extra Fine
Flash: off
"The combination of John S and Blackeys Extra Fine is most versatile. It captures the aura of the subject in focus, even in the most unfavorable light conditions. The combo creates perfect black and white portraits, landscape shoots and is essential in the kitty of any street photographer. It helps to keep away all the distractions in the photograph and reflects the honest face of any situation. The black and white results with this combo truly capture the grey areas of any mood."
Ankit Girotra
Combo #379 (Julia Nathanson)
Lens: Ruddy
Film: Blanko 1

"Rich, vivid, and intense, this combo is a color-lover’s dream."

"In Mexico, the first few days of November are known all over the world as the famous "Day of the Dead"; and every year, I'm at the cemetery with my Hipstamatic. The first day is known as the "Day of the Innocents" or "Day of the Little Angel" (for deceased children), and the second day "Day of the Dead" (for adults). Colima is not the most famous city as far as this particular festival is concerns; the states of Michoacán or Oaxaca are better known but, nonetheless, people gather in the same way, bringing music, food and flowers to their dead. This year, I wanted to capture the images without the color, so I used John S and Uchitel 20, because I wanted to focus on the people only - their faces - walking and chatting, and carrying flowers, drinks, food and music to the graves of their departed loved ones. "
