"Photo taken from back seat of rental car heading towards holiday vacation in San Francisco with close friends. Overcast, rainfall. For one brief moment, the sun peeked through the clouds as the rain was still falling, reflecting of the drenched Bridges surfaces, and illuminating the low fog. I had to position the sun behind the rearview mirror to adjust contrast and get the lens flare perfect."

"This photo was taken in western Washington’s Skagit Valley at the height of the tulip season. There was an ominous thundercloud building overhead, but, the sun broke out for just a few minutes at this time. At first I thought the petals had fallen naturally as there had been hail the day before and heavy rain earlier in the day. But, as I was pretty much lying in the mud to take the pic, I could see the stems had been cut - I was very touched."

"This site is the Arpoador Rock in Ipanema in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is the best spot in Rio de Janeiro from which to enjoy the sunset. Pedra do Arpoador Beach bears the same name and is a continuation of Ipanema beach in the south of the city. It's known as the surfers' beach, as it has many big waves, excellent for the Billabong Rio Pro surfing championship and other sporting events. In the past, this was a place to harpoon whales, hence the name."

"This photo was taken during the magic hour while I was walking on the beach. The clouds were so beautiful, I couldn't resist shooting them on the spot. I had loaded the Brighton Pak and gave it a try, and it was beautiful. No need for any tweaking. One of my new favorite combos - Doris and Sussex with Jolly Rainbo 2X flash."

"I love taking road trips a few times a year. Since I mainly take landscape pictures one of my favorite go to spots is the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. I find it very soothing hiking along the many nature trails or driving down long winding roads looking for the perfect place to pull over and capture an image with my camera. I enjoy being able to take pictures with the Hipstamatic app so I can instantly share what I am seeing at any given moment with family and friends."

"Late in the afternoon we finally reached the sea. This abandoned and rusty ship was one of the attractions of our tour in Morocco. My priority was to give the sense of majesty, comparing the dimensions of the subject with a person.

"It takes me 1H30 by scooter to get there. I go there every 10 days... no matter what, I have to be there. What you can see is just a small part of a totally empty beach. It is so peaceful, so full of nature and wildlife... I don’t know how long it will stay this way... I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy a place so pure and so untouched by civilization. Every time I'm there, under the blue sky and faced with the turquoise ocean, I often ask myself what's wrong with the human race, why we choose to destroy places like this in the name of civilization... And I still can't find the answer…"

"We have had an unusually foggy autumn and during a walk at dusk, the fog began to lift. This couple on their bikes appeared out of the fog quite unexpectedly. I love this combo for bringing out the warmth of the fall season. The Jolly Rainbo Flash deepens the golden tones of Lucas AB2."

"It was a warm and sunny Sunday, shortly before sunset at Lake Constance. I was fascinated by the light in the trees, the long shadows, and the seagulls sitting on the railing. For a moment or two the world seemed calm, still and peaceful. Jimmy lens gently emphasizes this serenity, and Robusta gives it the warm texture."

"The mangroves at Beachmere (Queensland, Australia) are a photographer’s delight. I love driving there in the middle of the night to photograph the sunrise behind the trees – especially at high tide, when the conditions are just right for long-exposure photography. On this particular excursion, in October 2013, I got to the beach about an hour after high tide. I waded into the water, set up my tripod and took a series of long exposures with my DSLR. In between the long exposures, I snapped some Hipstamatic shots. This is the best of that lot, I think. Mother Nature presented me with the composition; the turquoise cast and blurry patches are courtesy of the Americana lens."
