"This series of pictures was taken during my stay in Japan. I was based in Takamatsu and visited Kobe, Kyoto and Tokyo while I was there. I opted for the Watts/BlacKeys SuperGrain combo, in homage of the Japanese photographers Daido Moriyama and Seiji Kurata. A heavily contrasted black and white with very deep blacks.
I took my reflex camera and my iPhone with me but upon my return, I realized that my hard disk had crashed, so I was left with only my iPhone pictures, which made it even more imperative to send in this series."
