"The testing field for this combination was a very special one: the city of Istanbul, the only city in the whole world to straddle two continents. Lincoln, as known, is a difficult lens to deal with, even for the more neutral B/W films. How would it be possible for it to pair with this light hearted, nature freak Sequoia film in an urban environment?
In the daylight, Sequoia appeared to be an interesting match to this quaint lens. RedEye Gel added a little red warmth to the result in every picture, especially to the brighter parts. The combo worked well, producing bright images. But in low light conditions (as for example in the night shots or the interiors), the combo proved to be a bit knavish: the darker surfaces of the picture became grainy and some colors surprisingly appeared as slightly fluorescent! I wouldn't suggest this combo for low light situations (except if your concept concerns pictures with a touch of pop art feeling). Nevertheless, in daylight, it really shows its true value, helping you in the creation of nostalgic and high-key in-character pictures."
