"I spent last Christmas in Paris, and had the best vacation I can remember! Due to the 8 hour time difference between Paris and Arizona, almost a whole week went by before I could get up before noon. By the time we were ready to go out, there was usually little daylight left, and photographically speaking that suited me just fine. I loved walking in Paris after dark! The beautiful window displays, Christmas lights and decorations, looked much more appealing at night.
I used the Tejas/Otto combo for its ability to impart interesting sparkle, depth and saturation, reminiscent of the Fuji Velvia film, that I have loved for a long time. The Tejas is a great lens for this situation, because it is not too sharp, adding a slightly mysterious smokiness to the scene, and directing the viewer's attention to the subject with its vignette. Otto produces beautiful, saturated primary colors, making them stand out from their surroundings. The final result looked very festive to me!"
