"This series was obviously taken on the streets of Paris, in late November. I imagined I would use a monochrome combo for these images, but the light that Saturday was beautifully clear, and the streets were brightly covered with memorials, street art and the vibrant colours of the French flag. So Jane and Otto seemed just right - a very simple combo that creates both a journalistic quality and allowed me to capture the vitality of the Parisian streets and of a city that may have been tragically tossed, but is far from sunk."
