"This series dates from April 2015. The pictures were taken in Hanoi, a city of 9 million inhabitants and more than 4.5 million scooters and, surprisingly, ten times fewer cars. Neighborhood life, roadside restaurants, itinerant businesses, temple festivities, and Ca Dau competitions (a kind of cross between football and badminton) go on in every nook and cranny of the city, amidst the chaotic and cacophonous flow of scooters and mopeds. You can, however, feel that this is becoming increasingly more difficult. Traffic is becoming near impossible during rush hour and this lively form of street culture is probably threatened with extinction in the long term."
