"Sometimes a softness"

"This Winter and early Spring in the Pacific Northwest has been very cloudy with record rainfall. The shortened hours of daylight have added to the challenge of taking photos outdoors - photos that require light and and contrasts between light and dark.
One of the many things I love about Hipstamatic is how you can change the lenses, films and flashes to compensate for lack of light in the environment. I decided to use this combination during a few photo outings this Spring (during all kinds of weather) to add a feeling of softness to the photos, with the hope of also giving the viewer a feeling of ‘inner lightness’, during this particularly dreary time."
