"Journey through the Provence"

"In July, I had the opportunity to visit the Provence, in South of France; a place I've always wanted to visit. It was exactly what I expected: pastoral scenes, small idyllic villages with old stone houses, tall cypress trees, thousands of sunflowers and, of course, my main reason for visiting... the lavender fields, which are often set amid the old Cistercian monasteries, like the famous Notre-Dame de Senanque abbey or, Saint Paul de Mausole, where Vincent van Gogh spent a year in the asylum. Of course, I couldn't miss the farmer's markets, the small shops and street cafes, where I would sit contemplating and watching the people go by. I understand why many intellectuals and artists in the past, and still in the present, chose this part of the world as their residence."
