"Everything started as an experiment of sorts. I wanted to connect reality with dreams through a soft and mellow light, in addition to a touch of contrast and balmy colours to bring about a kind of surreal atmosphere. Intrigued by the sunlight contrast I observed during my regular daily itineraries, I tried to capture the universal flow and go beyond the ordinary, into a more tranquil dimension.
Choosing the Tejas Lens was all about adding a warm, sunny ambience to my everyday life in motion. Combined with the Lone Star Uno film, which brings in a hint of deep indigo, I was guided through a new meditative path. Eliminating the film's ruffled edges was an obvious move, in order to keep it as clean as possible and anchoring the visuals in a more grounded context. The Triple Crown flash was the final touch, adding extra zest with its contrast-filled light. Just like sunlight perpetually changes, going from absolutely blinding to near pitch-black.
Although the experiment was originally conceived for photography “on the road”, I feel like its peaceful effect travels equally well amongst the clouds or under the musing gaze of nature. Inviting you to opt for Kelvin combo when you are in the lookout for an outdoor dreamy effect full of cosmic energy."
