"This was my first ever visit to Sicily. I’m very passionate about nature and, especially, Mount Etna. Explosions are increasing and the acidity of the volcano just reached code yellow, so I figured I’d go hoping to witness the eruption of my dreams… unfortunately, nothing out of the ordinary happened, apart from a few explosions on the South side crater with some smoke plumes which are also impressive, I have to admit. I wandered around Sicily with my favorite combo: John S with BlacKeys Supergrain and met a few very nice locals during my travels. The rather harsh September light wasn’t an issue and produced some pictures with very nice pronounced blacks … I left this beautiful Italian island, satisfied with my photographs and I continue to keep a close eye on Etna."
