"David Bowie died. Here in Berlin, where he lived for a while, there is an immense feeling of sadness with fans and friends alike. A kind of sadness the city hasn't known in a long time. Over the past few days, I visited the place where he lived, namely Hauptstrasse 155 in Berlin Schöneberg, as well as his favorite bar. I attended a memorial service, at the Hansa Studios, where he recorded some of his most important songs. And I also visited an exhibition called "Citizen Bowie".
I love many of his old songs, but dig his latest album Blackstar even more. When I heard it for the first time - this was before his death - I instantly thought this could be one of his greatest and most successful recordings, despite his imminent death - but that we'll never find out. To all of those people who admired and were inspired by David Bowie. I feel you."
