"Over the last several years I have spent a great deal of time walking the Coney Island boardwalk. Two years ago, I created a series of images called Boardwalk Mornings. This summer I’ve been focusing on the boardwalk at night. The boardwalk teems with life all summer long. Between the amusement park, Friday night fireworks, and beach traffic, the boardwalk is always hopping. It comes alive at night. I chose a lens/film combo that recalls a time gone by. The creamy black and white created using the combo of Erie GL and BlacKeys 44, with a touch of the fade adjustment, evokes a feeling of Coney Island’s heyday, when the boardwalk was the place to be."
