"Chicago has been called an 'artful construct' - built on an onion infested swamp, burned to the ground and rebuilt according to the plan of the great architect Daniel Burnham. Likewise, my work - which reflects Chicago and its people - is an artful construct that combines street photography and fantasy. I look for compelling figures inhabiting timeless spaces - ranging from Chicago's museums to transportation hubs and government buildings - and let Hipstamatic create the mood and magic. My goal is for my images knit together into a story of Chicago, filled with drama and pathos.

I started using Hipstamatic in 2012 when I saw how it could transform my phone into a means of making art. I began with Hipstamatic classic but now use Oggl almost exclusively. Oggl has improved my knowledge of Hipstamatic products and my photography by letting me pick the right lens and film for the subject matter. The Oggl community is great fun too!"
