"For many years I’ve been wanting to visit Japan and, last May, I had the opportunity to do so, spending just under three weeks travelling in Honshu, Shikoku and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. I was working for a magazine so I didn’t have much time to shoot more personal stuff, but I was hugely impressed by Japan and by its utterly fascinating culture. From a visual point of view, I was completely captivated by the architecture - both the ancient and the modern reach heights of sophistication and attention to detail that I’ve rarely seen elsewhere. I came away completely in love with the country and its people, and I’d very much love to go back."
