"When you find yourself immersed in a place and culture that you have dreamed of for so long… when you finally arrive, your senses are assaulted and overwhelmed. Trying to capture and give visual expression to those sensations is very difficult, as no image seems to quite hit the mark. That is how I felt during my recent visit to India. I was in Rajasthan and Varanasi, and of course briefly in Agra. I chose two combos to try to best capture the light and feel of India. Jane and Blanko Freedom 13, were very suited to capturing everyday life on the streets.
I also chose G2 and Rasputin, to give depth to the colors and textures of the places I was moved by. I feel this combo best served me in Agra, capturing the early morning light on the Taj Mahal, as the light sparkled over it. I also liked this combo during sunrise and sunset on the Ganges in Varanasi. It really brought to life the light and textures of this profoundly moving city.
When I return, I hope to bring a different lens with me to better capture the spiritual and magical essence of this magical country and its beautiful people."
