"In Hong Kong, one is constantly surrounded by people and buildings. One of my favourite things is to shoot street scenes from one of the many elevated walkways that connect some of the buildings, particularly in the Central district of Hong Kong. There are a couple of pedestrian crossings that provide the perfect backdrop of pattern and lines, and sometimes trams and cars as well. I find myself shooting pedestrian crossings either from this elevated vantage point or from a stopped car, which is when I usually take a side profile shot, à la 'Abbey Road'. I also like shooting people on escalators from above. Especially when the escalators are long - I like the lines and symmetry mixed with the tiny figures.
Robusta has become one of my favourite films to use – as I shoot predominantly with Oggl, I use whatever lens combo I think works best for the image that I've shot."
