"After a record warm autumn, a cold snap moved into the area bringing a few inches of snow. The weather then turned sunny and frigid with record cold temperatures and beautifully sparkly snow scenes - which is unusual for our normally warm, dark and wet weather at this time of year.
This photo was taken in the early morning on a trail heading towards the sea just as the sun was rising over the hills. I was squatting to take a photo of the snowy grasses against the distant sea and sky, when this happy dog unexpectedly bounded into my photo. I think we shared the same moment of joy in the snowy morning!"
