"I found this sign yesterday in the Manhattan neighborhood where I work. Once I'd looked at the photo itself, I realized that it seemed human, like a sad little kid seen from an adult's vantage, with its legs like awkward pigeon-toed feet. I felt really sorry for the sign. I wanted to pat it on the head."
