"I often take photos of my children's toys using my iPhone, and this fetishist doll (belonging to my children who are in fact mixed race) caught my attention… I achieved the result you see by combining C-Type Plate film with the John S lens. Two years ago, I decided to abandon my 4x5 dark room and my usual photographic reflexes and from then on to only use Polaroid cameras (sx70 and image system) and/or my iPhone, via Hipstamatic, which enable me to re-find (or not to lose) the feeling of being 'an old-world' photographer, to choose (and all choice involves renunciation) a film and a lens, and to continue to play."
