"I was on my way to the beach, after shooting a 4th of July parade in Coronado, when I came across a row of empty beach lounging area with two red umbrellas. It was still early enough, so the Hotel Del guests were not using them yet and I thought I would get some shots before it got too busy. I decided to isolate one by itself and frame it in the middle. I like the contrast of the red with the blue skies and white sand, it was Independence Day after all!"
