"I shot this photo while exploring an area south of Sydney's CBD, the Old Carlton United Brewery, now called Central Park, that was recently redeveloped. It's a feast for the eyes, and always a hive of activity. Always looking for a different viewpoint, I found a ledge that overlooked the complex park and walkways. The sun was low and vivid, and shadows were crisp and long. The shadows were accentuated by my high vantage point! I was waiting for a human figure to walk into the photo, then out of the blue a skateboarder whizzed into the frame, just giving me time to shoot 3/4 photos! Often it's all about being in the right place at the right time.
More recently I've been experimenting with different color lens/film combos, and I love the contrast that this combo, (Doris & Blanko C16) produces, plus the subtle warmth to the dark colours, particularly the shadows."
