"I come to Hipstamatic from a photography and darkroom background. Prior to Hipstamatic, most of my images were either in portrait or landscape orientation. Now that Hipstamatic 300 has been released, I'm able to return to those formats and still have the pleasure of using Hipstamatic lenses, films, and flashes.
The summer usually affords me more time to explore and shoot. I spent a bit of time on Coney Island this summer shooting the boardwalk and the beach. In this image, taken in the early morning, before the crowds descended, I spied a tractor pulling a beachcomber to smooth out the sand. Watching the beachcomber move down beach it lined up perfectly with the "Welcome" sign. The composition was perfect for a 16x9 image. The lens and film were found through a shake to randomize."
