"My fiancée and I have been coming to Provincetown, Massachusetts, for the past eleven years and it just gets better every year. At least once or twice during our visits, I get up before the sun rises and this year yielded one of the best sunrises I've ever seen. The light on that morning was hard but the cloud cover diffused it beautifully. I'd originally shot this with the Hipstamatic Sardinia combo 246 (Tejas and Cheshire) but it was too painterly to my liking and I wanted a more ethereal effect, so I applied a combo I created in the editing suite and adjusted the white balance to offset the creaminess of the Telegraph film. "
