"After a long hiatus, Wigstock finally came back. It’s an old NYC festival, celebrating Peace, Love and Hair Pieces. It was the most subversive and counter culture event of the years from 1985-1992. Drag queens, performance artists, musicians and comedians came from miles around to perform in NYC’s Tompkins Square Park until the festival was moved to another location and then eventually cancelled only to be started up again this year."
