"The Cross of the Martyrs is located on a hill overlooking downtown Santa Fe, commemorating the 21 Franciscan priests killed during the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. A steep walkway winds its way up the hill. It features 20 plaques detailing the history of Santa Fe, one of the oldest cities in the United States, founded in 1607.
I took this shot around noon, into the sun, and assumed it would be a throwaway, but after playing around with a few BW combos, and adjusting the clarity, definition, vibrancy and highlights, I darkened the sky, which brought out the details of the tree, and further defined the sun stream. Adding BerryPop put a spotlight on the cross."
