"I am fascinated by backlit photography. Most of the time, I can't really see what I'm photographing, but with Hipstamatic the results can be so full of life, color, nuance, and surprise. A little present to myself! This image was taken at the Maui Tropical Plantation on a recent trip to Maui, Hawaii, and shows my favorite sight on the island, the West Maui mountains. They are huge, and always shrouded in clouds; they look very beautiful, and at the same time, scary and mysterious.
Tinto/Louis XIV Infrared/Apollo brought out the perfect combination of colors and contours of this moment to me."
