"The pond in the pretty little village of Chavroches in the Val de Besbre (Auvergne) is a true source of inspiration, no matter what the weather’s like… Autumn is my favourite time of year to go walking there. Early morning is lovely, when the first signs of frost show up as little ice crystals on the stunted vegetation… The pale light bathes the pond in iridescent colours, reflecting the cloudy skies."
