"One of my very favorite places to walk and shoot is at the historic Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland California. Established in 1863, the cemetery houses many different architectural styles. I love that you can actually see history changing right before your eyes, from the buildings and furnishings to even the tombstones.
This lantern was hanging in one of the more modern wings of the main mausoleum. Shooting with Watts as my lens, I experimented with several BW films, but found that Rock BW-11 had the perfect balance of contrast and exposure to allow the repetitious pattern of the lantern to be center stage."
