"As you exit the Trocadero metro station, you arrive at the Palais de Chaillot, with its stunning view of the statues and the Eiffel Tower. The place du Trocadero has been nicknamed the Square of Human Rights; the upper terraces are lined with bassins and bronze gilded statues, representing seven women and one man.
I used Hipstamatic Classic, which I prefer when I want to rework the picture afterwards. I switched to a vertical format as the subject just demanded it. I would never have been able to get the statues and the Eiffel Tower in their entirety if I had stuck with a square format. I chose Jane for its clarity and Kodok XGrizzled because I like the frame. I added 30% clarity in order to highlight the statues and make them stand out from the background."
