"Marche du Nain Rouge"

"This is from a yearly event in Detroit, based on the legend of the Nain Rouge (Red Dwarf) - who represents all of the negativity in the city. There is a march through the city, which culminates in casting him out, thus returning the city to a state of positivity. Costumes, floats, music are all common to those taking part. In this photo is my good friend, Mike McGettigan, wearing his creepy baby mask."
