"I always experience a moment of dread when invited to take part in a self portrait challenge, but I don't want to be a Dead End so I usually try to find a way to make the image more interesting than my face. "Facing Me" is no exception. While I am not alone in my fondness of the new Tintype SnapPak for portraits, I wanted to take it a step further while staying Pure Hipsta. In a light bulb moment, I made a few window lit selfies in a black turtleneck and multi exposed them with the back of my hand, silhouetted by the window light. Voila! Half a dozen images later, I had one that did that creepy cool thing that Tinto 1884 does."
