"This photo was taken at Monterey Bay, California at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk building, built in 1907. It was one of those west-coast days where the fog was heavy all day until just before sundown. The sun's light angled low accentuating the shadows along the boardwalk and I chose the Foxy Lens and BlacKeys SuperGrain Film to accentuate those contrasts of light and dark. Remnants of the fog can be seen in the distance. It was a special moment to me, as an elderly couple happened to step out of the shadows into the light at this precise moment, which to me accentuates the nostalgic feel of this unique and beautiful architecture, sitting at the ocean's edge."
