(*) No hometown, I was born at a Canadian air base in Germany! Grew up in Atlantic Canada.

"I became interested in photography in 2006. I spent the first half of 2009 at home on Parental Leave, with my baby daughter. While she napped, I would photograph her toys and some old action figures that I had. Since then, toys have been a large part of my photography.

A little over a year ago I bought an iPhone. Of all the photo apps I have, the Hipstamatic is the one I use almost exclusively! I love all the possible combinations of film, lens and flash - although I actually rarely use the flash. What I mostly use for toy photography is the GSQUAD lens and the C-Type Plate Film. I find it adds a sense of history and reality to the photos.

I use the 'Olloclip 3 in 1 lens for the iPhone', and usually the macro lens for close up head shots. However, the fisheye lens is great for creating an unusual effect, such as in my Joker head shot. It is difficult to light when the lens is super close to the figure, but almost anything is possible with a little elbow grease and the driving need to get the shot you want!"
