"It’s extremely difficult to do “Street Photography” in Marrakech, and there was I, planning a trip to Marrakech with the aim of doing a series of street portraits… The Moroccans do not want to be photographed and are quick to make that known! As soon as you try to take a picture of somebody, someone else will notice and point it out. You have to be very very discreet. The upside is that the pictures are not posed in any way and that gives the pictures a very spontaneous quality. I did, however, manage to get a gentleman to pose for me, as I would come across him every day. It’s the only real portrait I made during my trip to Marrakech. This entire series was captured with BlacKeys SuperGrain, paired with the John S lens."
