"These images were taken over the last six months across the state of Texas while attending rodeos, livestock shows, cowboy gatherings as well as wandering around big cities and small towns. I've created these photos to explore and share the idea of the western myth as it relates to modern Texas - a state where history and present reality is bound by an idealized, fictional past. Most of the photos were taken with a candid, snapshot style in order to interfere with the scene as little as possible."
