"Taking pictures with a mobile phone is so easy and you end up with lots of images that tend to be forgotten in a short time. So, a few years ago, I started to create books that condense the body of work from the previous year and make it less fleeting. By the end of 2013, given the substantial amount of Hisptamatic and Oggl images I had taken over the course of the year, it was obvious that I needed to create a book dedicated exclusively to Hipstamatic. The images and their combos are influenced by season, by my mood at the time, by the location and, in the second half, by the newly released Hipstamatic combos. They reflect my current status as a human being. 2014 will be a different year, for sure. But for 2013 I can come to this book time and again and enjoy this visual diary."
